Willard Elementary School is Ridgewood’s largest elementary school located on Morningside Road. Our Willard families are happy to participate in Age-Friendly Willard (AFW)!
What is Age-Friendly Willard?
In partnership with Age Friendly Ridgewood, it is a free Willard Home and School Association (HSA) sponsored program. We organize Willard Family volunteers who are interested in assisting our 65+ neighbors with everyday tasks they need help with.
How Does It Work?
Just call, email or text us or click the "65+ Neighbor Join" button and let us know you need our assistance. We will contact you within 14 days to introduce you to one of our volunteers to help!
Can anyone request assistance?
This program services our 65+ neighbors in the Willard School district area. Check to see if your block is in our coverage area to participate in our program.
At the discretion of our volunteers, we can assist with simple tasks such as:

Taking out Recycling, Bulk and/or Garbage Pails

Shovel the Snow
-
Water the Lawn
-
Help with a garden
-
Rake leaves
-
Seasonal decoration help

Changing a light bulb, hanging a curtain or picture

We rely on our Willard Family Volunteers! to support the needs of our 65+ Willard Neighbors.
We match our 65+ Willard Neighbors in need with our Willard Families. This is a way for the whole family to help, parents and siblings participate in assisting our neighbors. The experience builds connections between our families and our 65+ neighbors and all parties benefit by giving back!
